The engine of blessings, the key to success and the doors of opportunities is all about having a sincere intention reinforced with a careful enunciation of the power-word-Bismillah.

The word which means by the name of Allah or in the name of Allah, is what defines the effectiveness of any action we do however small or big. Even when tightening our belts or shoelaces.

Accompanied by a purposeful Ikhlas (sincerity) Bismillah turns every good action into an act of Ibadah and so a believer who remembers to commence every task with this word earns an allotment of rewards.

It is about putting Allah first in everything we do, the beginning of our true reliance and reinforcing our servility and loyalty to the creator of the world. This is an honourable believer’s secret to success.

Every important matter that is not commenced with the Name of Allah is deprived of good and blessings. It is important to put Satan at bay and lock him in the wilderness of isolation for our efforts to bear fruits.

Make a habit of commencing every little deed with Bismillah, you will soon realise a lot of changes on your productivity and the impact of the work you do.

There are a number of authentic and highly regarded Islamic texts explaining to us the virtue of the word Bismilah. This has been a highly cherished practice of the righteous predecessors.

Imam Ahmad reports on the authority of Abu Tamimah (ra) who said:

“I was riding behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) when his mount stumbled and so I said, ‘May Satan perish! Upon hearing this the Prophet said, “Do not say ‘May Satan perish’ for when you say this Satan becomes exultant and grows in stature and says, ‘It was by my power that I injured him.’ But when  you say, ‘With  the Name  of  Allah he becomes  humiliated  and   grows  small until he ends  up the size of  a fly”

Likewise Abu Dawud reports on the authority of Abu Hurayrah(ra) that the Messenger of Allah said: “There is no wudhuu for the one who does not commence by mentioning the Name of Allah”

Make it a cherished routine, it is effortless when saying but its effects on your productivity is enormous.  This is a top secret that the righteous and pious believers have benefited from it immensely.
