Are you ready for Ramadan? The month of mercy is in the offing once again and Muslims around the world are preparing for this great month of fasting and reflection.
Many of us have started researching about Ramadan, planning for it and finding ways on how to maximize this important calendar of Islam.
On and offline platforms such as the social media networks are flooded with Ramadan reminders, events, status updates and tweets. All these activities are intended to draw Muslims’ attention to various views regarding the month of Ramadan.
Here at The Plu Media we are preparing for the holy month doing a lot of research work, writing articles as part of our bold initiative to educate the Muslim population about Ramadan and its agenda.
Starting from now, we are sending a special request to our readers to submit their Ramadan stories, reflections, analysis, views and opinions about their experiences in Ramadan. Your submission can be personal or general issues affecting the community at large.
We are interested in your voice, it doesn’t matter to us whether or not you’re a Muslim, what matters to us is how Ramadan is impacting your life, your families, your friends, your nation, because Ramadan is a month of unity.
It can be about that non-Muslim friend who admires Ramadan, that non-Muslim house-help that connects the Ramadan kitchen to the Muslim Family. It can be about how you admire your Mosque your Muazin, that small boy-the hafiz- that you stand behind him during Taraweeh prayers.
It can be about your lost target during the previous Ramadan and your set goals for the forthcoming one. It can be small or big but it should be connected to Ramadan.
We can’t promise to publish all submissions, but we will do our best to provide a compelling Ramadan experience.
Please send your submissions to Mr. Abdullahi Jamaa (founder & editor-in-chief of the The Plu Media at editor@theplu.co.ke. Please make your submissions no longer than 900 words. You can also send a short bio about yourself including your social media links.
