A license has been issued to the Museum of History of Science and Technology in Islam at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh to become the first specialized museum in the history of science and technology in Islam in the Kingdom, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Monday.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage in Riyadh region issued a license.
The museum will be established by the university in collaboration with the Institute of Arab and Islamic Sciences History at Frankfurt University.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz will inaugurate the museum during his sponsorship of the Second World Conference on History of King Abdulaziz. The conference is being organized by the University.
Commission Director Abdulaziz Al Hassan pointed out that this huge museum contains ancient artifacts and historical masterpieces that reflect Saudi Arabia’s culture throughout the ages.
