Potato egg chops (Katlesi)

Potato egg chops commonly known as Katlesi is a delicious snack that can be enjoyed with a soothing glass of tamarind juice. Kids and young people love this alongside with their favorite cuppa. For most people, it makes a yummy starter ahead of the big meal.

Ingredients

Six boiled eggs.
Seven middle size Irish potatoes.
Salt.
2 table spoons of tumeric.
A handful of gram flour.
Cooking oil.

Optional ingredients

A pinch of grated black pepper
Chopped Coriander
Grated onion
1table spoon grated garlic

Method 

Peel irish potatoes, wash, add salt and boil until tender .
Smash.
Add tumeric and smash until they absorb the tumeric color
(add optional ingredients and mix)
Cut the eggs into two halves.
Fetch smashed potatoes, form a flat round on your palm .
Place the egg in the middle.
Raise the flat round smashed potatoes to cover the egg.
Hit cooking oil thoroughly.
Roll  Katlesi on the gram flour.
Deep fry until golden brown(turn  Katlesi occasionally to avoid burning)

Serve with tamarind sauce.
