Mini Muslims’, a Preston-based startup, launched the world’s first smart self-rocking cot that recites verses from the Quran and soothing Islamic lullabies, a new feat in Islamic technology.

According the website of the company the cot is designed to entertain and stimulate babies and toddlers using a combination of verses from the Qur’an, rhymes and supplications.

“We’ve created a smart cot, which has an automatic rocking function, it recites the Quran and also Islamic lullabies. It has Bluetooth connectivity where you can actually control the cot from your mobile device at any time,” said Mubarak Nomani, the founder of ‘Mini Muslims’.

The device that costs £49.99 has a memory card and an audio box that plays Islamic lullabies and Qur’an. As the lullabies play, the mobile slowly rotates to make the soft toys gently sway as your little one drifts off to sleep.

“The plan is to create a product that gives extra hand to the parents and it will make parenting a little bit easier and we’ve done that with this new smart rocking Quran cot.”

The smart cot can be controlled through an app, allowing to remotely adjust the rocking speed, the volume and to set a timer for the motion to stop, Nomani explained.

This noble invention adds up to the increasing power of the 4th industrial revolution where Islam and Muslim technoprenuers are producing modern Muslim products and services.

One of the principle aims of the innovative Islamic baby startup brand as stated on their website is to introduce children to the Quran at an early age.
