The Noble Luhya Qur’an will officially be launched InshaAllah on April 1st 2016 at an event to be held at the mosque where Upper Western Kadhi Sheikh Shaaban Issa Muhammad is expected to grace the religious  occasion.

MUMIAAccording to Sheikh Harun Musa one of the scholars behind the initiative, the main aim and objective of translating the Quran into Luhya is to promote better understanding of Islam among the local communities especially those in rural areas.

”We are appealing for well-wishers and Muslim organizations to come out and support this noble cause financially to fast track the revision and editing exercise by expert” said Sheikh Harun

The translation and edition was done by prominent Muslim scholars and Ulamaas acquainted and familiar with both Arabic and Luhya languages.

This is believed to be the first Luhya-translated version of the Holy Quran with original Arabic texts inscribed side by side.
