Supreme Court upholds presidential election

Petitions challenging the election of Uhuru Kenyatta on 26th Oct has been dismissed by the supreme court of Kenya.

In a brief ruling, the highest court of the land summarily dismissed all petitions promising to issue a full judgment within the next few weeks.

One of the petitions was filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau, seeking to overturn Kenyatta’s victory in the Oct. 26 election, which was held after the Supreme Court nullified Kenyatta’s win in an Aug. 8.

Kenyatta garnered 7,483,895 votes while his main challenger Raila Odinga, viagra vs cialis vs levitra who withdrew from the election, got 73,228 votes.

This latest judgment will mean Uhuru will be sworn as validly elected president, a move that is expected to jolt the opposition leaders and their supporters.
