In its August 1st 1996 issue, Ad-Da’wah Magazine reported the story of Umm Saalih who completed the memorisation of the magnificent Quran at the age of 82 years. She memorised the first three parts of the Quran during her childhood while the remaining 27 parts took her about 70 years.

Transform your life with spiritual renewal

As believers we are required to constantly blow away the cobwebs of life. Time and again we need to start with a clean slate. Success and victory will be in our bag as long as we put a lot of focus in understanding the purpose of life.

This involves that we address the choices we have made in the past so that we can positively change the choices we will make in the future. We can say it is about planning meticulously to win the cup of heaven at the same time leading a goodly life here on earth.

Dealing with common cold during Ramadan

Colds and flu are like grass snakes, they are not harmful as such but they have the potential to nail you down onto your bed for days or for some few weeks depending on the strength of your immune system. They are not lethargic like cancer, but they are perturbing and embarrassing especially when you are having a running nose coupled with an expectant cough.

Ramadan 2024: The power and blessing of dates

Dates play a crucial role in daily diets, but they become especially significant during Ramadan. These nutritious fruits not only mark the beginning of most worshippers’ iftar meals but are also incorporated into various desserts traditionally made during the holy month. Dates thrive extensively, with the UAE alone cultivating 160 varieties of the fruit. Additionally, the consumption of dates by Muslims mirrors the dietary habits of the Messenger of Allah  (PBUH).
